How can we keep our brains as healthy as possible as we age? This question is explored in a recent KURIER article featuring the BrainHealth study at the University of Vienna.
In the interview, project lead Prof. Mag. Dr. Karl-Heinz Wagner explains the scientific questions behind BrainHealth. The study focuses on how structured resistance training and targeted nutritional supplementation may influence the physical and cognitive health of older adults. In addition, the project examines changes in various biomarkers to better understand ageing processes and potential preventive approaches.
The article provides insights into the aims of the study and highlights why the interaction between nutrition, physical activity and brain health is of particular interest in research on healthy ageing.
